After a week of trade doubts from the ongoing Iran-Israel conflict, the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) is up 27.3 points to this morning (27 June), seeing a 0.32% increase on the platform to a total of 8,578.1 points at 11.05am (AEST).
The S&P/ASX200 reports that materials is leading all sectors, seeing a 2.59% increase, gaining 2.1% over the past five sessions.
PLS (ASX:PLS), formerly known as Pilbara Minerals, has jumped its share price to $1.39, illustrating a 6.08% increase after yesterday’s news of Vanguard Group becoming a substantial holder.
Liontown Resources (ASX:LTR), which has a market capitalisation of $1.7 billion, is now trading at a share price of $0.73 from a 5.35% increase.
Sandfire Resources (ASX:SFR) is following closely behind with a 5.14% increase to $11.54 per share. The company has seen a 301% increase in its 90-day average volume, which is now at 1.19 million.
The S&P/ASX200 is Australia’s leading share market index and contains the top 200 ASX-listed companies in terms of market capitalisation, and accounts for 80% of the country’s equity market. The index is designed to measure the performance of the 200 largest index-eligible stocks listed on the ASX by float-adjusted market capitalisation.
It is recognised as the institutional investable benchmark in the country.
