Asra uncovers multiple ‘high-priority’ Mt Stirling gold targets

Asra Minerals (ASX:ASR) has identified multiple “high-priority” gold targets at the Mt Stirling Gold Project in Western Australia, after completing an aircore and reverse circulation drilling program.

The drilling program confirmed the presence of gold mineralisation in the bedrock and prioritised targets are to be tested in a larger reverse circulation drilling program.

A follow-up drilling program is being planned to test the high-priority anomalies identified. The highest anomalous value returned up to 1,219 parts per billion gold in vacuum drillhole MSAV0532.

Executive Chairman Paul Summers says the aircore drilling program was designed to uncover mineralised structures in the East Diorites tenements, and the company achieved this goal.

“We will follow-up on the best intersections with reverse circulation drillholes with the aim of discovering new economic mineralisation in this area,” Summers says.

“A fantastic result from gold analyses of the top two metres of the vacuum drilling completed in 2021 to 2022. We will review the most anomalous gold in vacuum soils and prioritise for drill testing.”

The Mt Stirling Project is located in the Eastern Goldfields region of Western Australia. The project comprises 10 gold prospects, two rare earths discoveries, and widespread highly anomalous cobalt and scandium mineralisation.

Asra Minerals is a diversified mineral explorer that holds a multi-commodity project in Western Australia.
