Arizona Gold brings on senior vice president of exploration

Arizona Gold & Silver (TSX-V:AZS) has appointed Lex Lambeck as the company’s senior vice president of exploration, which will replace Greg Hahn who will become Vice Chairman.

Lambeck brings extensive experience in mineral exploration and project development, while also having a strong track record of technical leadership and exploration across multiple mining jurisdictions.

He recently served in the same role at MAG Silver Corp which was acquired by Pan American Silver (TSX:PAAS) for C$2.1 billion.

In his new role, Lambeck will oversee Arizona Gold & Silver’s exploration programs and work closely with the technical and management teams. He will also oversee the expansion of all programs, not just at the flagship Philadelphia Project in the US.

CEO Mike Stark says Lambeck’s experience in epithermal vein deposits and managing large-scale projects will be a benefit as the company advances the Philadelphia Project.

“He will also tackle exploration of the large-scale gold-antimony system at the Silverton Project,” Stark says.

Lambeck adds that he sees Philadelphia as a “real winner” for the company and his career.

“It is a compelling project with the scale of upside required for the industry and investment community to really take notice,” he says.

Arizona Gold & Silver is a junior mining company focused on precious metals discoveries in the western US.
