Argosy Minerals (ASX:AGY) has signed a spot sales contract with Chengdu Chemphys Chemical Industry for the sale of 16.1 tonnes of lithium carbonate product produced from the Rincon Lithium Project in Argentina.
The company is now working through product export logistics, with the cargo expected to be transported upon completion of the freight and export protocols.
As part of the contract, there are no material conditions that need to be satisfied prior to proceeding with, nor any other material relevant to the contract.
Managing Director Jerko Zuvela says the company is part of an exclusive group of lithium carbonate product exporters.
“This significant milestone further confirms Argosy’s ambitions and near-term growth phase to fully develop our Rincon Lithium Project,” Zuvela says.
“With our positive project fundamentals, we will be strong beneficiaries of the lithium sector recovery noting the strategic development milestones achieved to date at our Rincon Lithium Project.”
The Rincon Project, covering 2,794 hectares, is located in the Salta Province of Argentina. The project has a resource of 686,875 tonnes of lithium carbonate oxide.
