American Uranium sets off on last half of drilling campaign

American Uranium (ASX:AMU) has begun drilling at the Lo Herma Project in Wyoming’s Powder River Basin, US, for the remaining 55 drill holes within the 121-hole permit.

The company plans to drill up to the 55 approved holes for infill drilling at Mine Unit 1 and expansion drilling into targeted areas south of Mine Unit 2.

Drilling is expected to support a further resource update at the project, and a Scoping Study is planned for Q3 2026, along with expanded hydrogeological and metallurgical work programs.

The approved drilling permit allows for up to 121 holes across 37,500m. American Uranium has drilled 66 holes under this permit to date.

Executive Director Bruce Lane notes that the latter half of the drilling campaign follows “successful” efforts across 2025–26, as well as a recent interim resource upgrade.

“This next phase of drilling is designed to further grow and upgrade resources within our priority Mine Unit areas, including testing mineralised trends south of Mine Unit 2, ahead of our planned Q3 2026 resource update and Scoping Study,” Lane says.

American Uranium is focused on advancing the Lo Herma In-Situ Recovery Uranium Project in Wyoming.
