American Uranium (ASX:AMU) is on track to advance the Lo Herma Project’s development pathway, after completing hydrogeological testing with all wells demonstrating sustained flows and minimal aquifer drawdown.
The testing, undertaken by specialist engineering evaluation firm Petrotek Corporation, seeks to confirm aquifer performance concurrent with phase one drilling. The ongoing drilling program was designed to underpin a resource estimate and Scoping Study update for the project in 2026.
American Uranium, which has a market capitalisation of $15.53 million, says drilling will continue up to Christmas, with results anticipated at the conclusion of the program ahead of a planned 2026 resource estimate update.
CEO Bruce Lane says the initial test observations are “highly encouraging”, and the company looks forward to Petrotek’s report before the end of 2026.
“Resource expansion drilling has also been progressing as planned, with continuity of mineralised sands are redox conditions observed in the areas north of the proposed mine units 1 and 2,” Lane says.
“Drilling operations are continuing in the area north of Mine Unit 2 before moving back to an area closer to Mine Unit 1.”
American Uranium’s Lo Herma In-Situ Recovery Uranium Project is located in Wyoming’s Powder River basin in the US. The project hosts a resource of 8.57 million pounds of triuranium octoxide.
