American Uranium increases Lo Herma resource

American Uranium (ASX:AMU) has achieved a 72% increase in the indicated resources category at the Lo Herma Project in Wyoming’s Powder Basin, US.

The company has increased the project’s total resource estimate to 9.9 million pounds (Mlbs) of triuranium octoxide (U₃O₈), including the 72% increase in the indicated resource to 4.79Mlbs U₃O₈.

American Uranium says the increase in the indicated resource base ‘significantly’ enhances resource confidence and development readiness.

The news has also expanded the proposed Scoping Study resource base by 23% to 7.38Mlbs U₃O₈. The indicated Scoping Study footprint has increased by 54%, which is up from 32%.

Lo Herma’s total resource has increased by 16%. American Uranium says the increase to the total resource base reinforces the project’s position to emerge as a ‘significant’ US-based in situ recovery (ISR) uranium development project.

In the state of Wyoming, American Uranium’s total mineral resource now stands at 11.62Mlbs U₃O₈.

CEO Bruce Lane says the update to the resource estimate is an “important milestone for Lo Herma and reinforces its position as a significant emerging ISR uranium development project in Wyoming’s Powder River Basin”.

“With total resources now approaching 10Mlbs U₃O₈, and a substantial increase in confidence delivered within the proposed development footprint, the project is increasingly demonstrating the scale and quality required to support future development studies,” Lane says.

“Importantly, the updated resource provides a stronger foundation for the Scoping Study targeted for early Q4 2026 and supports American Uranium’s progression from resource delineation toward project development studies, permitting pathways, and further evaluation of potential ISR development scenarios.

“With 7.38Mlbs U₃O₈ now defined within the proposed Scoping Study area and 54% classified as indicated, Lo Herma is well-positioned for the next phase of technical and development advancement.”

At Lo Herma, the company completed a 120-hole drilling campaign over 2025–26. All results from this program have been included in the resource update.

American Uranium is targeting the completion of the Lo Herma Scoping Study in early Q4 2026, which has benefited from the larger, higher-confidence resource base, along with planned hydrogeological pump testing.
