American Uranium (ASX:AMU) has completed its resource expansion drilling at the Lo Herma ISR uranium project in Wyoming, drilling 50 mud rotary holes for approximately 16,300m.
Both the expansion drilling together with the recently completed pump testing program are part of the company’s efforts to expand and upgrade the resource, as well as to validate aquifer transmissivity in support of Lo Herma’s pathway towards ISR mine development.
Drilling confirmed the projected mineralised trends north of the proposed mine units by up to 3,000m. The main highlights include 4.1m at 0.078% equivalent uranium trioxide containing 1m at 0.143% equivalent uranium trioxide in hole LH-25-048.
CEO Bruce Lane notes that this expansion drilling has delivered “strong grades with generous thicknesses in multiple stacked sands” at the Wasatch and Fort Union formations of the project.
“This year’s drilling has successfully demonstrated that the host sandstone units contain reliable continuity of mineralisation across extended trends for 3km to the north of the current proposed mine units,” Lane says.
“With resource expansion drilling now completed for 2025, we look forward to the full geological evaluation of these results in early 2026 ahead of the next phase of drilling.”
The company is working towards a planned Mineral Resource Estimate update and hydrogeologic and drilling programs working to de-risk and advance Lo Herma towards a scoping study update in 2026.
