American Uranium completes Lo Herma drilling program

American Uranium (ASX:AMU) has completed its 50-hole drilling program at the Lo Herma Uranium Project in Wyoming, US, designed to support resource upgrades and a Q3 Scoping Study.

The company finished 32 additional mud rotary drill holes for 9,514m, bringing the total program to 50 holes for 12,757m.

Drilling focused on converting inferred resources to indicated within Mine Unit 1 and expanding resources south of Mine Unit 2.

Of the 50 holes completed, 21 intersected mineralisation above the 0.02% equivalent uranium oxide (eU3O8) cutoff, with 13 exceeding the target grade thickness of 0.2.

The strongest intercept across the program was 5.8m @ 0.056% eU3O8 in hole LH-26-026 for a grade thickness of 1.06.

“These final drilling results have achieved the key objectives of the program, confirming continuity within Mine Unit 1 and extending mineralisation south of Mine Unit 2,” CEO Bruce Lane says.

The program comprised 29 infill drill holes at Mine Unit 1, 16 step-out holes south of Mine Unit 2, and five hydrogeologic test wells at Mine Unit 1.

Results demonstrate strong continuity of roll-front mineralisation across both mine units, with multiple stacked mineralised horizons contributing to grade thickness outcomes.

Among the latest results, hole LH-MW-005 returned 6.9m @ 0.044% eU3O8 for a grade thickness of 0.99. Meanwhile, hole LH-26-061 returned 7.5m @ 0.046% eU3O8 and 5.5m @ 0.040% eU3O8.

The company expects the drilling to support conversion from inferred to indicated in Mine Units 1 and 2. An updated mineral resource estimate and Scoping Study are targeted for Q3 2026.

Lo Herma sits in Wyoming’s Powder River Basin, approximately 24km north of Glenrock and close to several permitted in-situ recovery uranium facilities.

American Uranium is a Wyoming-focused uranium developer advancing the Lo Herma Project, with additional resources at the Great Divide Basin Project and conventional uranium-vanadium assets in Utah.
