The Association of Mining and Exploration Companies (AMEC) announces its Queensland Director Sarah Gooley has resigned from her role.
Gooley has been on leave and was due to return to work in mid-February 2025. However due to Gooley and her family relocating to northern New South Wales, she has decided to resign from the role.
“We wish Sarah and her family all the best for their new adventure and hope to still see her around the traps when she visits Queensland,” AMEC says.
Despite this change, AMEC’s work in Queensland is continuing.
The association will be advertising for a new Queensland Director in due course.
In the meantime, AMEC policy manager Amy Warden is diligently addressing the environment and water challenges.
The Association of Mining and Exploration Companies is a national association representing over 500 member companies from all around Australia. The members are explorers, emerging miners, producers, and a wide range of businesses and service providers working in and for the industry.
