Alto reports further ‘high grade’ gold mineralisation from Sandstone’s Juno Lode

Alto Metals (ASX: AME) has reported further ‘high-grade’ gold hits from an ongoing RC drilling campaign at the Juno Lode within its Sandstone Gold Project in Western Australia.

The results highlight the extension of mineralisation down-dip and along strike, returning gold grades of up to 12.4g/t. Key intercepts include:

    • Hole SRC590: 9m @ 3.8g/t Au from 157m, incl. 5m @ 5.0g/t Au from 160m
    • Hole SRC586: 7m @ 4.4g/t Au from 163m
    • Hole SRC593: 12m @ 2.1g/t Au from 160m, incl. 1m @ 12.4g/t Au from 169m
    • Hole SRC589: 17m @ 1.6g/t Au from 159m, incl. 3m @ 6.3g/t Au from 171m
    • Hole SRC585: 10m @ 1.3g/t Au from 140m, incl. 5m @ 2.1g/t Au from 144m

Speaking on the results, Alto Metals Managing Director Matthew Bowles said: “These latest results from the recently discovered Juno Lode continue to deliver significant high-grade intercepts. Drilling focused on testing the dip and strike of existing mineralisation within the granodiorite damage zone and along the contact of the ultramafic footwall. These results have successfully extended the mineralisation at Juno, demonstrating the potential to continue growing this deposit.

Further results from drilling at the Lords Corridor are still pending, including the follow up RC hole testing the down-dip extension to SRC576 which returned 67m @ 2.3g/t gold. These results are expected to [be] received shortly.

Our next phase of drilling at Indomitable Camp is progressing well, as we continue to focus on growing resources and look forward to sharing assay results from this drilling campaign in the coming weeks and months ahead.”

The Juno Lode is a recently-discovered continuation of the mineralised zone below the Lord Nelson Pit, and has extended the mineralised zone over a kilometre, remaining open along strike to the south and down dip to the west.

The 100%-owned Sandstone Gold Project is located approximately 600km north of Perth in the East Murchison Mineral Field, and covers a total footprint of approximately 900km².

The project boasts an Indicated and Inferred JORC 2012 Mineral Resource Estimate totalling 12.4Mt @ 1.6g/t Au for 635,000 ounces, with the company continuing step-out operations to expand deposits.

With the current RC programs at Juno and Indomitable ongoing, the company has announced that it will move forward with follow-up extensional drilling at Lord Nelson and Juno.

Assays remain pending for over 10,150m of completed RC drilling conducted at the Lords Corridor, as well as the first 4,850m of completed drilling at Indomitable.
