Alligator Energy (ASX:AGE) has appointed existing CEO Andrea Marsland-Smith to act as Managing Director for the company, alongside her current duties.
Marsland-Smith will step into the additional role effective immediately, after first being appointed CEO in May 2025, transitioning from COO to CEO on 1 July 2025 after former CEO Greg Hall decided to step back, as reported by Mining.com.au.
Alligator says the combination of roles for Marsland-Smith is in recognition of her leadership in “driving key milestones across the company’s project portfolio”, while also directing corporate governance and shaping operational efficiency.
Meanwhile, non-executive director Peter McIntyre is stepping down from his role on the board in the near future, following the completion of a field recovery trial at the Samphire Uranium Project in South Australia.
Chairman Paul Dickson says the board wishes congratulations to Marsland-Smith, following her performance in the role of CEO.
“Over the past nine months, she has demonstrated exceptional capability and leadership as CEO, delivering strong strategic and operational progress,” Dickson says.
“The board believes this appointment is both well-deserved and appropriate as we continue to execute our plans.
“I would also like to personally thank Peter for his longstanding service and commitment to Alligator. His friendship, guidance, experience and unwavering support have made a meaningful contribution to the company’s development.
“The Macallum Group (headed by Peter) also supported multiple capital raises during the formative years of Alligator Energy, as did Peter directly.”
Alligator Energy is a uranium and energy metals project developer and explorer, focusing on the development of uranium production in South Australia and the Northern Territory.
