Registrations for the Northern Territory’s technical exploration event – the Annual Geoscience Exploration Seminar (AGES) – in Alice Springs, has opened.
Over 300 delegates are expected to attend the 2026 AGES conference, which spotlights the vast and underexplored resource opportunities in the territory.
The event, held between 14-15 April 2026, connects delegates with executives and gives access to experts from the Department of Mining and Energy’s NT Geological Survey and its partners.
The program, scheduled to be announced in February, includes highlights of new pre-competitive geoscience data from the Northern Territory and industry updates on the latest minerals and energy exploration highlights and concepts.
AGES will also feature findings from the NT Geological Survey’s geoscience programs in the Pine Creek Orogen region and Amadeus Basin, as well as the latest insights on the rapid resource growth and mining developments in Tennant Creek.
NT Geological Survey Senior Executive Director Ian Scrimgeour says AGES is a highly anticipated exploration-focused conference.
“AGES will highlight new data and exploration stimulus programs that are designed to increase exploration activity, improve industry success rates and accelerate economic development through direct and indirect jobs for Territorians,” Scrimgeour says.
The 2-day industry event will be held in conjunction with the Mining Services Expo co-ordinated by the Department of Trade, Business and Asian Relations (DTBAR).
