Alice Queen crowns new Exploration Manager

Alice Queen (ASX:AQX) has appointed Adrian Hell as the company’s Exploration Manager amid its plans to restart exploration drilling at the Horn Island Gold Project.

Hell previously worked for Alice Queen during 2016–2022 before rejoining the company in this role. The company says the appointment reflects Hell’s extensive knowledge regarding the Horn Island gold system and its geology.

He has more than 27 years of experience in mineral exploration and mining, focused on a range of commodities and deposit types.

Alice Queen says Hell has a “proven track record” of advancing assets from greenfields discovery through to resource development, feasibility, and corporate transactions.

He has held leadership and management roles across a number of remote and high-risk environments in Australia, the Middle East, and North Africa.

Hell’s most recent role before rejoining Alice Queen was as Exploration Manager for Sorrento Resources.

Alice Queen is currently finalising a detailed exploration plan for the project, which hosts an existing resource estimate of 16.7 million tonnes @ 0.98 grams per tonne gold for 524,000 ounces gold.

Upcoming drilling intends to extend the resource estimate with multiple phases of diamond core drilling for up to 5,000m and up to 20 holes.

The Horn Island Gold Project is an intrusive-related gold system located in the Torres Strait region of Far North Queensland.

Alice Queen is a gold and copper explorer focused on developing mining opportunities in Australia and Fiji.
