Alice Queen brings Bosio on board for Horn Island development

Alice Queen (ASX:AQX) has appointed Davide Bosio to the company’s board as a non-executive director for his experience with financial services, resources, and listed companies.

Bosio has previously served on other boards including De Grey Mining, ahead of its acquisition by Northern Star (ASX:NST), Spectrum Metals, prior to its acquisition by Ramelius Resources (ASX:RMS), and DigitalX (ASX:DCC).

Bosio acted as the Western Australian State Manager and Director of Corporate Finance most recently at Shaw and Partners. In his role at Shaw and Partners, he oversaw the sale of DJ Carmichael in 2019.

With more than 25 years of experience in Western Australia’s finance industry, Alice Queen Managing Director Andrew Buxton says the company is enthusiastic to welcome Bosio to the board of directors.

“His wealth of experience in the financial services industry, specifically in the areas of resources exploration and mining, will be invaluable to the company as we move along the development pathway with our Horn Island Gold Project,” Buxton says.

“Davide’s recent experience in bringing two significant gold mines into production in his role as a non-executive director at Black Cat Syndicate (ASX:BC8) should be viewed by our shareholders as unique in terms of highly desirable skill set that the company requires in order to navigate, successfully, the exciting journey that lies ahead for the company.”

Bosio says he is looking forward to contributing to the growth and development of the Horn Island Project.

“This project is a unique asset and I am incredibly excited about the opportunity to add value for shareholders,” Bosio says.

The Horn Island Gold Project is an intrusive-related gold system located in the Torres Strait, Far North Queensland.

Alice Queen is a gold and copper explorer focused on developing mining opportunities in Australia and Fiji.
