Algo Grande Copper (TSX-V:ALGR) has identified three interpreted porphyry-related intrusive centers at depth across its Adelita Project in Mexico.
Following a high-resolution UAV magnetic survey and 3D magnetic vector inversion, the company’s phase two diamond drill program has advanced to Hole 002 of a planned 21-hole, approximately 8,000m campaign.
Algo Grande expects to mobilise a second rig within days, with first assay results targeted for August 2026.
The 3D magnetic vector inversion resolved three interpreted intrusive centers: Mezquital, the largest magnetic body on the property with a dipolar footprint of approximately 2.2km by 700m and a peak amplitude of approximately 2,100 nanoteslas; a deep magnetic source beneath Cerro Grande Central; and a newly identified body south of the Cerro Grande skarn designated La Corona, which has not been drill-tested.
The UAV survey, flown at approximately 20m above ground with 25m line spacing, delivered a seven-fold improvement in spatial resolution over the previous VTEM survey.
The Cerro Grande skarn corridor is now resolved as a series of discrete stacked magnetic bodies, consistent with additional skarn potential along strike that remains undrilled.
Structural analysis identified four structural families, confirming the intersection of northwest-southeast and north-south trending structures as the primary control on the Cerro Grande discovery and identifying multiple new untested structural intersections across the 5,895ha property.
“The detailed magnetics have identified multiple intrusive centers at depth across a 6.5km corridor, each one a potential engine driving the copper-silver-gold mineralization we see at surface,” CEO Enrico Gay says.
“At Cerro Grande, we have a high-grade skarn above a deep porphyry source. At La Corona, a newly identified intrusion with coincident copper anomalism that has never seen a drill bit. At Mezquital, the largest magnetic body on the property with a molybdenum signature pointing to porphyry mineralization at depth.”
Targets take shape at Adelita
The Mezquital anomaly, with an interpreted vertical extent of approximately 750m and magnetic susceptibility of 0.05 SI, is consistent with a substantial magnetite-bearing intrusive body.
A historical drill hole within the anomaly intercepted magnetite- and hematite-bearing granodiorite with propylitic alteration and a molybdenum signature.
La Corona displays copper-anomalous soil samples across three lines at 100m spacing, with historic rock samples returning up to 2% copper described as skarn-type occurrences.
The company intends to present a full district-scale interpretation of the three centers in a subsequent release.
