AIC Mines (ASX:A1M) has reported ‘high-grade’ copper, gold, and silver results from resource definition drilling at the Jolly shoot within the Jericho copper deposit in northwest Queensland.
Surface drilling returned intercepts including 9.2m at 3.20% copper, 1.30 grams per tonne gold and 3.00g/t silver from 105m in hole JEDD106, and 2.2m at 7.10% copper, 1.00g/t gold, and 5.90g/t silver from 161.4m in hole JEDD109.
Underground drilling also delivered ‘strong results’, with hole JY027 returning 6.6m at 3.60% copper, 1.40g/t gold and 3.10g/t silver, and hole JY028 intersecting 4.8m at 3.30% copper, 1.70g/t gold and 3.90g/t silver.
“Jericho is proving to be a great orebody — exceeding all our expectations in terms of strike extent, continuity and now grade, particularly the gold grade,” Managing Director Aaron Colleran says.
The Jolly shoot represents the first area scheduled for mining at Jericho, making these results significant for the project’s development timeline. AIC reached the Jolly shoot in February 2026 and commenced development on the 4975 level during the March quarter.
The Jericho copper deposit sits 4m south of the company’s operating Eloise copper mine and processing plant.
Mineralisation at Jericho extends over a 5km strike length and remains open to the north and south, commencing at approximately 50m below surface and extending to a maximum vertical depth of 700m.
The company continues underground drilling into the inferred resource portion of Jolly North.
AIC Mines expects the December quarter to mark a significant milestone, with mining operations at Jericho feeding ore into the expanded processing circuit at Eloise.
