Aguia Resources’ (ASX:AGR) Brazilian subsidiary Aguia Fertilizantes has been registered by the local Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Food Supply (MAPA) to sell fertiliser.
The company’s MAPA registration is contingent on a final audit, which will include representatives observing the processing of Pampafos at the DB processing facility.
This final audit will follow the issuance of the FEPAM operating licence for Três Estradas.
Aguia will be eligible to begin sale of the product immediately thereafter.
CEO Timothy Hosking says being registered to sell fertiliser is one of the final stages for Pampafos commercialisation.
“Our experienced marketing team has been actively promoting Pampafos throughout the region, where we are experiencing very strong demand in anticipation of processing operations commencing imminently,” Hosking says.
“Aguia’s locally sourced product will alleviate the sector’s exposure to external disruptions in the international fertiliser market.”
Pampafos is a natural phosphate fertiliser, which Aguia says provides a high-quality, cost-effective alternative to traditional options.
