Adamera establishes Washington tungsten hub for US supply

Adamera Minerals (TSX-V:ADZ) has consolidated four scheelite-bearing tungsten properties in northeastern Washington under single ownership to form the Washington Tungsten Hub.

The consolidation aims to advance domestic US tungsten supply ahead of a 1 January 2027 federal procurement deadline.

The US currently has no operating domestic tungsten mine and relies on imports for an estimated 10,000 metric tonnes annually, while China controls roughly 80% of global mine production.

Under upcoming regulations, the US will bar tungsten sourced from China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea from certain defence applications.

The newly formed hub targets district-scale exploration and development potential across four assets: Talisman, the company’s flagship property; Tungsten Ridge, a past producer; Pierre Creek Tungsten, an early-stage exploration asset; and Roosevelt Tungsten Skarn Front, located on Adamera’s Buckhorn 2.0 property.

President and CEO Mark Kolebaba says the portfolio delivers “direct exposure” to a district-scale, brownfield tungsten asset base.

He adds that timing is a factor, too.

“Tungsten prices have already risen 900% in response to restricted supply and increased demand,” Kolebaba says.

This supply/demand imbalance is not a short-term problem, the work being done across the industry is urgent, and we are just beginning to understand what our district holds.”

Tungsten prices surged from approximately US$340 ($492) per metric ton unit (mtu) in early January 2025 to roughly US$3,150 mtu by mid-2026, driven by Chinese export controls and heightened defence sector demand.

Adamera intends to conduct systematic surface exploration and drilling across the hub, initially prioritising Talisman, with work commencing shortly.

The company is also advancing contractor engagement to reestablish safe access to Talisman and Tungsten Ridge, as well as test mineralised continuity at depth,

In parallel, it is actively pursuing strategic partnerships and capital markets financing to advance the Washington Tungsten Hub in alignment with the federal procurement timeline.

Adamera Minerals is a junior resource explorer focused on discovering gold, silver, and base metals, with assets in Canada and the US.
