Zenith zooms in on drilling at Dulcie

Zenith Minerals (ASX:ZNC) has launched a 38-hole reverse circulation drilling (RC) program at its Consolidated Dulcie Gold Project today (30 July).

Strike Drilling has now mobilised its drill rig for the estimated 4,800m program across the Western Australian project. The same rig completed Zenith’s previous RC drilling program at Dulcie earlier this year.

Zenith says drilling is scheduled to run for approximately five weeks.

The campaign includes 22 holes for approximately 3,000m at Dulcie Central, providing the first drill testing of the recently acquired tenement. The drilling targets an estimated 600m untested strike gap between Dulcie North and Dulcie.

The remaining 2,000m comprises resource extension drilling at Dulcie North and Scott’s Grey, together with testing additional mineralised lodes further south at Dulcie.

Previous drilling at Scott’s Grey returned 5m @ 3.30 grams per tonne gold (Au) from 91m.

Managing Director Andrew Smith says the program aims to further the company’s understanding of the broader Dulcie mineralised system while identifying opportunities to grow the existing resource base and create additional value for shareholders.

He adds that the maiden drilling at Dulcie Central, in particular, “is the first test of an exciting target that has never previously been drill tested”.

Zenith notes the initial drilling has been designed around areas where heritage clearances are already in place. The balance of the approved drilling will be completed in stages as further heritage clearances are secured.

The Consolidated Dulcie Gold Project hosts an inferred resource of 21.3 million tonnes at 1.0g/t Au for 675,000oz across a consolidated 6km mineralised corridor.

Zenith Minerals is a gold and lithium explorer and developer with assets in Western Australia and Queensland.
