Zenith Minerals (ASX:ZNC) has released assay results confirming ‘high-grade’ gold through reverse circulation (RC) drilling at its Auburn Gold project in Queensland.
Assays from nine of the 49 samples returned grades greater than 1 gram per tonne gold, including a peak result of 23.3g/t.
Managing Director Andrew Smith says the results highlight a “consistent gold footprint across multiple prospects within the project area.”
“Recent high-grade grab sampling, together with earlier Zenith rock chip and soil results, reinforces the prospectivity of the system,” he says.
“Further supporting our focus on advancing targeted follow-work, including preparation for initial drill testing.”
The company says in addition to Auburn, the Red Mountain Project in Queensland shows “significant” gold and silver mineralisation, confirming its potential as an asset for the gold portfolio.
Recent RC and diamond drilling at the project delivered mineralisation including 325m @ 0.56g/t gold and 122m @ 1.28g/t gold. Zenith says the observation of visible gold at depth is the first, confirming system fertility and scale.
The Auburn Gold Project and Red Mountain Projects are located within New England Orogen, along the eastern margin.
