Xpedra strikes deep gold at Springfield

Xpedra Resources (ASX:XPD) reports its deepest drilling to date has returned gold intersections at the Springfield gold deposit in New South Wales.

The company’s second-phase reverse circulation program comprised four holes for 892m, with all four intersecting gold mineralisation and extending the known depth of the deposit.

Key results include 64m @ 1.34 grams per tonne (g/t) gold (Au) from 140m, including 21m @ 2.41g/t Au from 167m and 10m @ 3.68g/t Au from 176m.

Xpedra says the results demonstrate down-dip continuity of mineralisation, with gold intercepts returned from the four deepest holes drilled to date. Other intercepts include 5m @ 6.58g/t Au from 108m and 64m @ 1.34g/t Au from 140m; and 27m @ 1.50g/t Au from 140m, including 6m @ 3.68g/t Au from 142m.

Managing Director Scott Funston says the holes intersected “some of the best mineralisation returned from the project to date”.

“These results are highly complementary to those returned from one of our previously deepest holes, SFRC025, which intersected 94m at 2.0g/t Au from 80m, including 13m at 10.2g/t Au from 81m,” Funston says.

Xpedra has received assays for all 31 holes drilled since acquiring the project in late 2025, with drilling demonstrating shallow gold mineralisation continuous along at least 400m of strike.

Previously reported results from the maiden drill program include 94m @ 2.00g/t Au from 80m, including 13m @ 10.21g/t Au from 81m. The deposit remains open at depth and along strike in both directions.

Historical shallow aircore drilling delineated gold and arsenic anomalies extending for a further 1.1km along the mapped monzodiorite host rocks north of the current drilling area.

Xpedra is now finalising plans for a third-phase drilling program at Springfield. A permit application will be submitted in coming days, with drilling expected to commence once requisite permits are received.

The third-phase program will test the 1.1km northern continuation of the mineralised intrusion beyond the northernmost hole, continue testing for down-dip extensions within the 400m of strike drilled to date, and target strike and depth extensions.

Xpedra Resources is a mineral explorer focused on critical and precious minerals like gold, antimony, and copper.
