Voltaic confirms primary gold at Meekatharra project

Voltaic Strategic Resources (ASX:VSR) has confirmed primary gold mineralisation via several reconnaissance rock chip results returned from the Meekatharra Gold Project in Western Australia.

Multiple gold anomalies were revealed ranging between 10 and 20 parts per billion (ppb), with a peak grade of up to 1.5 grams per tonne over a 150m strike length

The company says these findings underscore the mineralisation potential within these geological settings and necessitate detailed follow-up investigations.

“We are excited by the initial findings from our recent exploration efforts, which reinforce the project’s potential for hosting significant mineral deposits,” CEO Michael Walshe says.

“Our strategic approach is set to unravel the untapped value of this region, and we look forward to keeping our shareholders updated as we progress.”

Voltaic plans to advance its exploration strategy by adopting high-resolution gravity geophysical surveys, which is expected to enhance its ability to efficiently locate and assess high-potential mineralised zones within the project area.

The goal is to generate further targets and priority rank them for testing.

Voltaic says high resolution gravity surveys have proven successful in detecting mineralised structures in the region similar to those at Westgold Resources’ (ASX:WGX) 1.2-million-ounce Great Fingall deposit.

Once completed, during Q2 and Q3 2024, Voltaic will extend regional geochemical surveys and detailed mapping across its broader tenure.

In Q4 2024, the company also plans to undertake a maiden drilling program focused on testing priority targets defined during the geochemical and mapping phases.

The company says the Meekatharra tenement package is largely underexplored and is centrally located in a highly productive, more than 35-million-ounce gold province.

The project comprises six granted exploration licences and one application, covering a 266km2 area.

Voltaic Strategic Resources is a diversified mineral explorer with assets in Western Australia and the US. The company’s projects are considered prospective for rare earths, lithium, base metals, and gold.
