Vanguard Mining proposes name change amid shifting focus

Vanguard Mining (CSE:UUU) is proposing to change its name to Uranium One Mining amid strategically transitioning toward uranium exploration and development.

The name change is intended to reflect the company’s expanded focus on its uranium portfolio, including the Yuty Prometeo Project located in Paraguay and the Nuclean Uranium Project and Quark Project in the Athabasca Basin.

Concurrently, Vanguard Mining intends to complete a consolidation of its issued and outstanding common shares on a 3.5:1 basis. The consolidation is anticipated to enhance the company’s capital structure and better position it for future growth initiatives.

Further details regarding the name change and share consolidation will be provided once finalised.

CEO David Greenway says the name change shows the company’s commitment to building a uranium-focused uranium portfolio aligned with global energy trends.

“Global electricity demand is projected to exceed 30 trillion kilowatt-hours annually by the early 2030s, driven in large part by the rapid expansion of artificial intelligence-driven data centres, electrification of transportation, and increasing energy demand across emerging markets,” Greenway says.

“AI infrastructure alone is expected to require gigawatt-scale power capacity, placing unprecedented strain on existing energy systems. In this environment, nuclear energy is increasingly recognised as a critical solution for delivering reliable, carbon-free baseload power on scale.”

The Quark Uranium Project consists of eight mineral claims totalling approximately 28,746 hectares, located in Saskatchewan, Canada. The property is situated in a well-established uranium-producing district in northern Saskatchewan that has historically accounted for a significant portion of global uranium production.

Nuclean consists of seven exploration-stage mineral claims totalling 23,424.90 hectares in northern Saskatchewan, Canada, within the Athabasca Basin.

Meanwhile, the Yuty Prometeo Project consists of the San Jose and Uno concessions, together covering 90,000 hectares within the prospective Paraná Basin in southeastern Paraguay.

Vanguard Mining is a Canadian mineral explorer focused on the discovery and development of strategic minerals.
