Anson Resources (ASX:ASN) has received strong support for its three grant applications submitted to the US Department of Energy (DoE), with backing from three key members of Utah’s delegation to the US House of Representatives.
If successful, the company intends to use the grant funding to develop the Green River Lithium Project in Utah, US.
Anson notes that Congressman Mike Kennedy from Utah’s Third Congressional District, Congressman Blake Moore from Utah’s First Congressional District, and Congressman Burgess Owens from Utah’s Fourth Congressional District have formally supported Anson’s submissions, making a request to the DoE for “full and fair consideration”.
The applications were made under three separate programs, including US$32 million ($46.1 million) for the Mines of the Future fund, US$10 million for the Mines and Metals Capacity Expansion fund, and US$100 million for the Battery Materials Processing and Battery Manufacturing fund.
The grant applications were made by Anson’s wholly owned subsidiary, A1 Lithium, which was admitted as a member of the US Defense Industrial Base Consortium (DIBC) in May 2026, as previously reported by . Admission to the DIBC provides A1 with greater access to US federal agencies for strategic funding, grants, government-backed initiatives, and domestic supply chain partnerships.
Anson and A1 have completed these applications as part of their strategy to secure non-dilutive funding for the development of the Green River Project. The grants form part of management’s capital stack strategy, developed as the company pushes toward a Final Investment Decision in H2 2027.
Anson Resources is a mineral resources company with projects across key demand-driven commodities and a focus on the Green River and Paradox lithium projects in Utah.
