Unico Silver (ASX:USL) has expanded mineralisation at its La Negra SE discovery within the 100% owned Joaquin Project in Santa Cruz, Argentina, after step-out drilling revealed near-surface silver-gold mineralisation across wide zones.
The latest drilling, including eight holes, totalling 1,150m, extend mineralisation about 100m southeast of discovery hole JDD017-25, which previously intersected 90m at 164 grams per tonne (g/t) silver equivalent from 10m.
Results from additional holes are pending noting headline intercepts included 60.5m at 168 g/t silver equivalent (1g/t gold, 72g/t silver) from 21.5m in hole JDD038-25, and 54m at 108g/t silver equivalent (0.55g/t gold, 55g/t silver) from 49m in hole JDD043-25.
Both holes contain higher-grade intervals exceeding 230g/t silver equivalent.
Managing Director Todd Williams said the results continue to demonstrate strong continuity.
“Drilling at La Negra SE continues to deliver outstanding results, extending the footprint both along strike to the southeast and potentially at depth. The observation of coarse native silver and gold (electrum) in our deepest hole to date is particularly exciting,” Williams said.
The La Negra SE results form part of Unico’s 20,000m program supporting its “PLUS 150 and BEYOND 300” growth strategy, with an updated JORC mineral resource estimate for Joaquin expected in November 2025.
