Toubani readies first drawdown as Kobada advances

Toubani Resources (ASX:TRE) is preparing for its first gold stream drawdown this month as construction advances at the Kobada Gold Project in Mali.

Construction remains on schedule, with process plant work commencing and key infrastructure either completed or nearing completion.

The water storage dam and turkey’s nest are finished, while the airstrip is 65% complete. In addition, accommodation camp construction is progressing, with foundations poured and walls under construction.

Carbon-in-leach (CIL) tank earthworks have been completed, with formwork set up for ring beams. Clearing at the crusher and run-of-mine pad is well advanced, along with tailings storage facility preparation where the company has commenced embankment construction.

“Development of the Kobada Gold Project continues to advance on schedule, with activities progressing across multiple work fronts, including the commencement of CIL tank construction,” Managing Director Phil Russo says.

“The award of key construction packages and mobilisation of personnel and contractors to site reflects the transition into an increasingly active phase of project execution.”

All key construction personnel and contractors have now mobilised to site, while fabrication and shipping of structural steel continue. The company reports more than 500 tonnes have been fabricated to date.

Meanwhile, ball mill fabrication is complete, with shipping imminent. Final inspection of generator sets is complete, which are being prepared for shipping.

All plate work for the CIL tanks has been received in Bamako, with rolling, bevelling, and painting in progress. The first completed plates will be shipped to site shortly once ring beams are poured and cured.

An update to the Kobada mineral resource estimate (MRE) has commenced and is expected to be completed in Q3 2026. The updated MRE will underpin final pit design and mine scheduling ahead of start-up.

Toubani is preparing for its first drawdown under the stream financing facility by the end of August, with monthly drawdowns scheduled thereafter. The company is also progressing an additional facility with AFG Bank and other financiers to enhance working capital.

First gold production is targeted for Q3 2027, with the company remaining on schedule.

Toubani Resources is a Perth-based gold development company advancing its flagship Kobada Gold Project in southern Mali towards production.
