TMX Group is launching the TSX Consolidated Volume (TCV) in September 2025.
This service aggregates trading volume from across all Canadian equity venues for Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and TSX Venture Exchange (TSX-V) listings, giving market participants a significantly broader view of activity without the need to license each marketplace individually.
Designed to support informed decision-making, TMX Group says TCV will make trading insights more accessible across Canada’s public markets and enhance visibility for listed issuers.
In its July The MiG Report, TMX Group says C$13.7 billion has been raised on the TSX and TSX-V year-to-date ending 31 July 2025.
The average financing size on the TSX was C$32 million, while on the TSX-V the average was C$5.1 million.

Of the 191 new listings year-to-date (end of July), 152 were on the TSX and 39 on the smaller TSX-V.
Exchange-traded products (ETPs) dominated all listings at 145, while mining was again a highly active sector with 26 overall.
Mining dominated the top 10 TSX-V corporate financings in July, which include Kraken Robotics (C$115 million), Gold Reserve (C$41 million), Bunker Hill Mining (C$38 million), Goldshore Resources (C$36 million), xTAO (C$31 million), TDG Gold Corp (C$29 million), Dolly Varden Silver Corporation (C$29 million), Goliath Resources (C$27 million), Kootenay Silver (C$20 million), and GoldQuest Mining (C$16 million).
By the end of July, the mining sector raised C$5.8 billion ($6.47 billion) year-to-date – the most of any industry – well ahead of second place utilities and pipelines (C$2.7 billion), and third place financial services (C$1.1 billion), and in fourth real estate (C$877 million).
In July, TSX Venture Exchange officials, along with a group of Capital Pool Company (CPC) founders, did a set of meetings with entrepreneurs energy transition companies in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and Mendoza, Argentina. The delegation interacted with the entrepreneurs, local dealmakers, and government officials, creating awareness of the TSX-V and the CPC program.
TMX (TSX:X) facilitates fully electronic trading on Canada’s premier equities exchanges TSX, TSX-V, and the TSX Alpha Exchange (TSXA).
