Stellar Resources (ASX:SRZ) has received notification that the Ringville exploration licence adjoining the Renison Tin Mine has been granted for a five-year term until 14 June 2031.
The licence covers the interpreted continuation of the Federal-Bassett Fault and other splay structures extending southeast from the Renison Tin Mine, which is half-owned by Metals X (ASX:MLX).
Ringville is underlain by the Pine Hill Granite, the source of tin mineralisation at Renison, and includes 29 historical mineral occurrences.
Historical drilling within Ringville returned ‘high-grade’ tin intersections including 1.5m @ 6.9% tin (Sn) from 87m and 3m @ 1.5% Sn from 209m.
The licence is contiguous to the company’s Concert Creek exploration licence; and combined, they make up the East Renison Project, covering a total area of 34km².
Managing Director Simon Taylor says securing the Ringville licence solidifies the company’s footprint immediately contiguous to Renison.
“The geological prospectivity of this area is exceptional,” Taylor says.
“By covering the interpreted continuation of the Federal-Bassett Fault and sitting above the Pine Hill Granite, the known source of tin in the district, Ringville holds the exact structural ingredients that drive potential major tin mineralisation,” Taylor says.
“The fact that this ground already boasts 29 historical mineral occurrences, alongside historical drilling intercepts of up to 6.9% tin, provides immediate validation of the exploration upside we see here.”
Modelling conducted by Mineral Resources Tasmania using jointly inverted magnetics and gravity indicates the Pine Hill Granite sits at depths ranging from 500m to 2km, which is considered an ideal window for exploration for sulphide-hosted tin systems.
Taylor says the East Renison Project is a “perfect strategic fit” for Stellar as it complements the company’s flagship Heemskirk Tin Project.
“As we near the completion of the Heemskirk Prefeasibility Study in the third quarter of 2026, Ringville and the broader East Renison Project give us outstanding regional exploration potential to build further value for shareholders,” Taylor says.
Stellar recently announced an updated mineral resource estimate for Heemskirk of 13.36 million tonnes @ 0.86% Sn, containing 115,300 tonnes of Sn.
The company says line clearing and ground electromagnetics are set to commence within the newly granted Ringville licence around Godkin during spring ahead of a planned drill program to be undertaken in 2027.
Stellar Resources is focused on advancing its flagship Heemskirk Tin Project in western Tasmania and expanding its regional exploration footprint through the East Renison Project.
