Star Minerals blasts ahead at Tumblegum South

Star Minerals (ASX:SMS) has commenced blast hole drilling and has completed the first blast at the Tumblegum South Gold Project, with work carried out by the company’s mining contractor, MEGA Resources.

“The first blast and first truckload of waste rock represents a major milestone in unlocking the potential of the Tumblegum South Gold Project,” Star Minerals Managing Director Ashley Jones says.

“With strong progress across site activities, we are excited about the pathway ahead as mining commences and we move towards gold production.”

The Tumblegum South Gold Project is slated to come into production in 2026. The company has signed a Right to Mine Agreement with MEGA Resources and Bain Global Resources for mine funding, development, and mining.

Star Minerals has also received mining approval from the Government of Western Australia, and a toll treatment agreement is in place with Catalyst Metals (ASX:CYL)

The company has a production target ranging from 167,000 tonnes @ 2.43 grams per tonne producing 11,800 ounces of gold to 255,000 tonnes @ 2.16g/t for 15,900 ounces of gold.

Star Minerals is an Australian gold developer, bringing the Tumblegum South Gold Project near Meekatharra into production in 2026.
