Solis unveils Cucho’s ‘compelling’ targets

Solis Minerals (ASX:SLM) has identified “compelling” targets, likely forming part of a deeply rooted copper-molybdenum system, via new geophysical modelling at the Cucho Project in Peru.

A drone-borne magnetic survey is scheduled for this month, aimed at mapping structures and magnetic features associated with the currently recognised alteration-hydrothermal system.

Solis will also conduct an expanded surface geochemistry sampling program shortly.

Upon completion, a diamond drilling program will start in 2026 to test the Cucho targets.

The drilling program will test the eastern chargeable body and other compelling targets at depth, in close coordination with community consultation and permitting process.

The eastern chargeable body – open at both ends and to depths in excess of 500m to 600m – is separated from the area of historically drilled, strongly copper-anomalous altered intrusive rocks by a prominent northwest-southeast structural discontinuity.

Cucho covers a 3,600 hectare land package and alteration-mineralisation anomaly footprint of 3km by 1.8km.

The anomaly is defined by coincident copper-molybdenum geochemistry, surface mineralisation, and strong induced polarisation chargeability anomalies.

Solis Minerals is a mineral explorer focused on copper prospective discoveries in South America.
