Siren Gold (ASX:SNG) has altered resignation plans for CEO and Managing Director Victor Rajasooriar to step down earlier than expected.
Rajasooriar will vacate his position today (2 May) instead of the originally flagged 30 June end date.
Both parties have agreed that the company will pay Rajasooriar in lieu of notice for the period until the previously discussed date.
Current non-executive Chairman Brian Rodan will assume Rajasooriar’s duties by being appointed interim Managing Director, while the company seeks a permanent replacement.
Siren Gold has committed to drilling a second diamond drillhole targeting deeper mineralisation at the Sams Creek Project, as reported yesterday (1 May) by Mining.com.au.
The price of gold has been particularly high in recent times, hitting around US$3,241 ($5,076) an ounce as of 10am AEST.
Siren Gold, which has a market capitalisation of $12 million, is a gold and antimony exploration company based in the South Island of New Zealand.
