Sierra Nevada reviews US assets in Saudi pivot

Sierra Nevada Gold (ASX:SNX) has commenced a strategic review of its exploration assets in Nevada, US, as it redirects capital and management resources toward its advancing operations in Saudi Arabia.

The decision follows early exploration success at the As Safra Copper-Gold Project in Saudi Arabia’s Arabian Shield, where recent drilling materially advanced the company’s understanding of the mineral system.

CEO Adam Oehlman says As Safra has reinforced the company’s focus.

“Our success in Saudi Arabia has sharpened our focus on where we can create the most value for shareholders, with As Safra returning exciting results from our initial drilling program,” Oehlman says.

“We have a high-quality portfolio in Nevada, including established discoveries and significant untested potential, and that quality is being recognised through strong commercial interest.”

Sierra Nevada controls a portfolio in Nevada comprising gold, silver, and copper exploration opportunities. The assets include the Warrior and New Pass gold projects, the polymetallic Blackhawk Copper-Gold Project, and the Carlin-style Colorback Gold Project.

Early talks are now underway with several parties, with Sierra Nevada open to multiple transaction structures. These may include asset sales, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, and other corporate arrangements to maximise portfolio value while potentially retaining upside exposure.

“This process is about unlocking value from [our US] assets while allocating more of our capital and management resources to As Safra and the broader Saudi opportunity, where we believe the potential is becoming increasingly compelling,” Oehlman says.

Sierra Nevada Gold is focused on building a copper-gold exploration platform in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
