Rua Gold (TSX-V:RUA) has increased the strike length and vertical extent of the resource through a recent drilling campaign at the Reefton Project, located on the South Island of New Zealand.
The strike length has been extended from 350m to 620m, whereas the vertical extent has increased from 160m to 300m, remaining open in all directions.
A drilling program at the Auld Creek prospect comprised of seven holes, returning intersections including 4.2m @ 1.27 grams per tonne gold from 264m, 2m @ 1.99g/t gold from 127m, and 17m @ 9.8g/t gold equivalent including 3.6g/t gold and 1.5% antimony from 155m.
CEO Robert Eckford says recent drilling has bolstered the company towards its goal of growing the resource base at the Reefton Project.
“Importantly, the mineralized system has now been extended both vertically and along strike, and remains open in all directions,” Eckford says.
“With two rigs currently active on site and surface geochemistry confirming a 2.5km long mineralized corridor, we are well positioned to build on this momentum.”
The two rigs are mobilised to test the Bonanza shoot in the north concurrently with testing of the Fraternal shoot in the south.
Meanwhile, the company has concluded drilling at the Gallant prospect as the first Cumberland target.
Initial drilling revealed three correlated mineralised quartz veins though not offering continuity on a larger scale.
Rua has also deployed the VRIFY artificial intelligence model to assist target generation at the Bell Hill permit within its southern regional exploration program.
This program pinpointed two outcropping quartz veins with rock-chip samples returning 14.3g/t gold, with assays still pending.
Rua Gold is an explorer focused on developing its portfolio of assets in New Zealand.
