Junior explorer Ronin Resources (ASX:RON) has staked an additional 165 claims around its Hornby Lake Lithium Project in Ontario, Canada.
This has resulted in the project area expanding by 26% to now cover 156km-square.
The company says the newly claimed areas capture 2-mica granite intrusives identified by an initial desktop review as potential source rocks for lithium-caesium-tantalum (LCT) mineralisation.
Ronin has also targeted an area to the east of the Hornby Lake Greenstone Belt interpreted from available geophysics as a potential extension of the metasedimentary sequence in the Bear Head Fault zone.
The company says these newly claimed areas will be incorporated into its September 2023 field program.
Ronin Resources is an ASX-listed exploration company focused on the evaluation and assessment of the Vetas and Santa Rosa projects in Colombia, alongside the Hornby Lake Project.
