Q2 Metals (TSX-V:QTWO) sees a potential for a higher grade portion within the existing mineralised zone at the Cisco Lithium Project in Québec, Canada, after receiving the remaining analytical results from a 2025 drill program.
The latest results include 40.1m @ 2.89% lithium oxide, which ranks as the most ‘significant high-grade’ interval returned to date at Cisco. Other results include 215.6m @ 1.69% lithium oxide, including 64.6m @ 2.29% lithium oxide.
Vice President of Exploration Neil McCallum says the company is moving into a new chapter in the development of the Cisco Project.
“These assay results once again showcase the robust mineralisation at Cisco and give serious emphasis to its expansion potential,” McCallum says.
“Drill hole 73, located in the central portion of the mineralised zone, returned consistently higher grades than expected.”

BBA Consulting is currently modelling the inaugural inferred mineral resource estimate (MRE) for the Cisco Project, incorporating all results from drilling completed up to the end of 2025.
An ongoing four-rig drill program is primarily focusing on infill drilling the main mineralised zones to convert pending inferred resources to indicated in advance of a preliminary economic assessment targeted for late 2026.
Exploration and expansion drilling will also be included into the drill program to test areas outside of the main mineralised zone.
As Mining.com.au reported, Q2 Metals expects to transition from an early-stage explorer to resource-stage within the next nine to 10 months ahead of the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) held next week in Toronto, Canada.
During the first quarter of 2026, Q2 Metals expects to release the inaugural inferred resource, which investor relations manager Jason McBride says “will put official numbers to the project and define its position among other globally significant hard-rock lithium projects”.
“Later in the year, we expect to announce a preliminary economic assessment, which we anticipate will propel Cisco to that of a development story rather than exploration,” McBride tells Mining.com.au.
PDAC, held from 1-4 March 2026 in Toronto, is an annual convention that hosts more than 1,300 exhibitors and 700 presenters. Mining.com.au is a media partner of this year’s convention and will be reporting from the floor.
Q2 Metals is a Canadian mineral explorer focused on unlocking its portfolio of lithium projects in the Eeyou Istchee James Bay region of Québec, Canada.
