While the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) convention is preparing to kick off its 94th annual event next week, President Karen Rees says the conference comes in time as the global minerals race heats up.
“PDAC 2026 comes amid intensifying global competition to secure the minerals underpinning modern economies,” Rees says.
“At a time of accelerating demand, the convention is where leaders convene to advance projects, strengthen partnerships, and shape the future of the industry.”
Described as the “world’s premier mineral exploration and mining convention”, PDAC is coming back to Toronto, Canada, held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC) from 1-4 March 2026.
Streamlining investment opportunities, reeling in expert insight, and allowing professionals of all sorts to network, the event draws in industry leaders, investors, government representatives, Indigenous communities, and students alike.
“PDAC 2026 will feature the largest trade show footprint in our history, with more than 1,300 exhibitors across the North and South buildings of the MTCC,” Rees adds.
“That breadth gives participants a clear view of the projects, technologies, and ideas defining the sector.”
PDAC will feature exhibit halls, programming sessions, short courses, and keynote presentations. Presentations will have a specific focus on current mineral trends and challenges surrounding exploration and development ventures.
Networking opportunities available at the conference include the Awards Celebration and Nite Cap events, which will address global industry excellence to build new relationships.
