Pan American Energy (CSE:PNRG) has initiated work to prepare a mineral resource estimate (MRE) for the Big Mack Project in Ontario, Canada.
The MRE is expected to be informed by 2023-2024 lithium drill results, including nine additional holes completed between November and December 2024.
Pan American plans to integrate the available drilling database into a modern, three-dimensional geological interpretation and resource estimation block model, together with supporting data verification and review work customary for the MRE.
CEO Adrian Lamoureux says advancing Big Mack’s resource is the next step in establishing a stronger technical foundation for the project.
“The company believes the drilling completed to date provides a foundational dataset to support this next stage of technical work,” Lamoureux says.
Once completed, a technical disclosure for Big Mack will be updated to incorporate the new work, including updated figures, maps, sections, and tables, as applicable.
Big Mack is an emerging lithium-caesium-tantalum system, located in the Paterson Lake area in Ontario, Canada.
Caesium is classified as a critical mineral by the US Department of Energy, highlighting concerns over supply chain risks and its essential role in various energy technologies.
The global caesium market size is estimated to grow by US$3.57 billion from 2024 to 2028, as reported by Technavio. The market is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 2.67% during the forecast period.
Pan American Energy is focused on acquiring, exploring, and developing landholdings prospective for critical minerals and rare earths, including caesium, tantalum, niobium, phosphorus, and lithium.
