OD6 Metals brings WestLand on board for Quinn permitting

OD6 Metals (ASX:OD6) has appointed WestLand Engineering & Environmental Services as its permitting consultant for the Quinn Fluorspar Project in Nevada, US.

WestLand will manage permitting and environmental baseline programs under the United States Forest Service (USFS) framework to support an accelerated pathway to development.

A front-end loading permitting approach is being undertaken at Quinn. All current claims are being surveyed for use across a 10-year validity period covering drill and mine permitting.

Seasonal biological and archaeological baseline surveys are expected to be completed in the coming months.

The company is targeting a categorical exclusion to enable maiden drilling, with a plan of operations and supporting documentation to be submitted to the USFS.

OD6 has planned a bulk sampling program to support metallurgical test work at Quinn across numerous target areas.

Managing Director and CEO Brett Hazelden says the appointment of WestLand is a “critical step in accelerating the Quinn Fluorspar Project through the US permitting process”.

“By front-end loading environmental baseline studies, we are positioning the project for a streamlined approval pathway, while aligning with US critical minerals policy and potential FAST-41 pathways,” Hazelden says.

“Importantly, this work also underpins our ability to pursue bulk sampling and metallurgical test work, advancing the project toward development.”

OD6 Metals is an Australian exploration and development company focused on critical mineral projects, including rare earths, copper, and fluorspar.
