Many Peaks Minerals (ASX:MPK) has received reverse circulation (RC) drilling results from the Ouarigue prospect, part of its Ferké Gold Project in Côte d’Ivoire.
Spanning 5,988m, the 54-hole program was designed to support an upgrade of inferred mineral resources to indicated status and test boundary extensions for the mineral resource estimate (MRE).
Notable intercepts include 44m @ 1.51 grams per tonne gold (Au) from 22m, including 36m @ 1.15g/t Au from 86m; and 12m @ 5.50g/t Au from 109m, including 2m @ 26.9g/t Au.
Additional results include 13m @ 1.92g/t Au from 11m, including 4m @ 4.20g/t Au; and 18m @ 1.06g/t Au from 69m and 3m @ 1.81g/t Au from 119m.
Many Peaks says the drilling extends and confirms mineralisation continuity over 800m of strike within the inferred portion of the Ouarigue MRE, which stands at 26.7 million tonnes at 1.54g/t Au for 1.32 million ounces.
Meanwhile, step-out drilling tested approximately 400m of strike north of the MRE boundary. Results from the southernmost 100m returned 16m @ 0.73g/t Au from 6m and 40m @ 0.51g/t Au from 18m, including 4m @ 1.93g/t Au from 45m.
Assays for the remaining 300m of strike are expected in September.
Delineation drilling along the southern margin was also completed, yielding 9m @ 1.04g/t Au from 24m; and 10m @ 1.23g/t Au from 123m and 3m @ 1.60g/t Au from 144m.
The company confirms the results support future assessment of a potential upgrade to indicated classification and possible strike and down-dip extensions to the MRE.
Many Peaks has mobilised a third diamond drill rig to target down-dip extension and focus on resource growth, noting previous deeper intersections of 75m @ 6.11g/t Au from 427m downhole.
Assays are also pending for 65 RC holes (7,979m) and 43 diamond holes (12,000m), with results expected between late this month (August) and early October.
The company aims to complete 60,000m of drilling across Côte d’Ivoire by year-end to underpin Prefeasibility Study-level work on open-pit potential by the December quarter.
