Magmatic Resources (ASX:MAG) has commenced phase three drilling at its Weebo Gold Project in Western Australia’s Eastern Goldfields.
The company has started a 6,745m program comprising 1,745m of reverse circulation (RC) drilling and 5,000m of air core (AC) drilling, building on the phase one and phase two campaigns.
RC drilling will test bedrock mineralisation beneath supergene anomalies at Ockerburry 1 and 3, lateral and down‑dip extensions in porphyry host rock at Scone Stone, significant intercepts under Permian cover at Otto 2, and gold shoots identified in scout drilling at Sholl’s Find.
The 5,000m AC drilling program focuses on extending gold anomalies and testing down-dip mineralisation defined in earlier drilling phases.
Three prospects will be advanced to RC drill-ready status: Wheel of Fortune 1, Wheel of Fortune 4, and West Gold.
Managing Director David Richardson says RC and AC rigs are on site and drilling.
“The RC drilling will test deeper exploration targets within the Weebo Gold Project. A steady flow of assay data is expected to be released to the market over the next two to three months,” Richardson adds.
The Weebo Gold Project covers 270 square kilometres in the Eastern Goldfields, positioned near several established gold operations, including Bellevue Gold (ASX:BGL)’s project and Northern Star Resources’ (ASX:NST) operations.
Magmatic Resources expects to release assay results progressively over the coming two to three months as drilling continues across the various prospects.
