MACA mobilises crews to Black Cat’s Paulsens Operation

Black Cat Syndicate (ASX:BC8) Managing Director Gareth Solly says activity is ramping up at its 100% owned Paulsens Gold Operation with main contractor MACA Interquip crews mobilising to site, bringing all equipment for the major refurbishment works.

“Other contractors are already on site working on other upgrades including IT/communications,” Solly says.

“With Cream Mining and Black Cat’s underground technical team on site, there is a buzz of excitement with the commencement of selective mining, at what has proven to be one of Australia’s highest grade gold deposits. Everyone on site is focussed on pouring gold bars in December this year.”

Major work planned in July 2024 includes repairs to the CIL tank gantry, walkways, and agitator assemblies, as well as renewal of platework on the leach feed distribution box, the loaded carbon screen, and the pre-aeration tank.

The refurbishment is targeting commissioning on existing stockpiles and first gold pour in December 2024.

To date, processing facility refurbishment activities have included repairs of readily fixable items and preparation for full mobilisation of MACA Interquip.

As previously announced, Leeuwin Capital Partners is acting as debt advisor to obtain a secured debt facility of up to $30 million. Multiple indicative offers have been received and are currently being assessed.

A finalised credit approved facility is expected in late July 2024.
