Larvotto Resources (ASX:LRV) is targeting production at the Hillgrove Antimony-Gold Project in New South Wales by mid-2026, says Managing Director Ron Heeks.
Heeks says this goal stems from a strong foundation built last year, including a Definitive Feasibility Study, a final investment decision, as well as ongoing site activities.
“Our focus is firmly on execution, upgrading the plant, advancing underground development, and preparations progressing toward commissioning ahead of first production,” Heeks says.
“With Hillgrove on the verge of production at a time of unprecedented global demand for critical minerals, we are working on being the next Australian producer of antimony.”
Larvotto says the project is on track with plant refurbishment works progressing on schedule and on budget.
The company’s current focus is on identifying equipment and services for the processing plant through the existing metals processing facility. This includes the removal of tanks, pumps, and hydraulic drives for disassembling, to then be dispatched for refurbishment.
“The recent prioritisation of antimony under the Australian Government’s $1.2 billion Critical Minerals Strategy highlights the importance of antimony and supports Larvotto’s emergence as a leading new critical minerals producer,” Heeks adds.
“Combined with record gold and tungsten prices, Larvotto is looking forward to being in production at Hillgrove in the near term.”
Gold is currently marked at US$4,678 ($6,994) per tonne, marking an increase of 72.99% for this year over year, according to Trading Economics.
Meanwhile, Shanghai Metal Market notes the average spot price of antimony ingots at US$20,527 per tonne on 19 January 2026.
“Alongside Hillgrove, and with copper at all time price highs, our critical minerals portfolio is enhanced with the Blockade Copper Mine opportunity at Mt Isa, providing an exciting second growth pathway in copper,” Heeks says.
“This is supported by multi-metal exploration potential at our Eyre Project in Western Australia, which includes rare earth mineralisation that is currently under metallurgical testing.”
Larvoto has completed 4,111m of reverse circulation drilling at multiple prospects within the Mt Isa tenements in Queensland. The company is progressing due diligence activities to acquire Blockade.
Larvotto Resources is an Australian explorer focused on developing its dual-commodity Hillgrove Project.
