Kingfisher Mining (ASX:KFM) has planned diamond drilling to support a maiden mineral resource estimate after reverse circulation (RC) drilling returned ‘high-grade’ copper-gold intersections at its Copper Blow project in New South Wales.
The company reports significant results from its latest program at the iron oxide copper-gold prospect near Broken Hill, including 26m @ 2.57% copper (Cu) and 0.75 grams per tonne gold (Au) from 73m, and 43m @ 1.32% Cu and 0.32g/t Au from surface.
“These latest drilling results continue to demonstrate the scale and quality of the Copper Blow mineralised system,” Managing Director Chris Bittar says.
“It confirms broad zones of shallow, sulphide-hosted high-grade copper mineralisation, while deeper drilling continues to show that the system remains open at depth.”
The RC program targeted extensions of mineralised lodes identified in December 2025 drilling across the North and South zones.
Drilling has extended ‘high-grade’ sulphide mineralisation a further 50m toward a major cross fault interpreted as the boundary between the two zones.
Key intersections include 58m @ 0.67% Cu and 0.15g/t Au from 165m in hole 26CBRC_082A, and 3m @ 1.99% Cu and 0.45g/t Au from 146m in the South Zone.
The North Zone delivered some of the strongest copper intercepts returned from Copper Blow. Several of the best results occurred in areas previously considered to have limited mineralisation potential.
The company says this indicates additional mineralised material outside currently recognised domains.
Drilling in the South Zone continues to define mineralisation supporting future economics, with results including 2m @ 1.46% Cu and 0.46g/t Au from 140m.
Copper Blow sits within a 4km-long magnetic anomaly that remains largely untested outside the main prospect area.
This mineralised system is hosted within the Copper Blow Shear Zone across approximately 600m of strike, with both North and South zones remaining open along strike and at depth.
Kingfisher holds a 75% interest in the project through a joint venture with Broken Hill Mines (ASX:BHM), whose concentrator sits approximately 20km from Copper Blow.
The companies executed a processing agreement in March, providing a potential low-capital development pathway.
KFM will integrate the new results into ongoing geological modelling while planning approvals for diamond drilling to support the maiden resource estimate.
Future work includes reviewing undercover geophysical targets and progressing metallurgical assessment activities.
Kingfisher Mining is a copper-gold explorer advancing the Copper Blow project in New South Wales, with a portfolio covering approximately 700km2 across three proven mining districts.
