Haranga Resources’ (ASX:HAR) Managing Director, Peter Batten, has resigned and will leave the multi-commodity producer less than three years after taking the top job in September 2023.
The board of directors has accepted Batten’s intention to resign and remain at the company until his contractual notice period ends later in the year.
“The board thanks Mr Batten for his leadership and contribution to the company and wishes him well in the future,” Haranga says.
Chairman Michael Davy will temporarily assume an executive role. The company secretary and country specific chief operating officers will assist Davy throughout the leadership transition process. No disruptions are expected to operational activities and project workstreams.
“Davy will bring direct oversight during this active phase of exploration across the company’s Lincoln Gold Project and Ibel South Gold Project,” the company says.
Batten’s replacement will be chosen through a thorough recruitment process based on “experience and capability”.
Haranga Resources is a multi-commodity producer with assets mostly in California, US and Senegal, West Africa.
