Hamelin Gold hits ‘high-grade’ gold as Day Dawn drilling goes deeper

11m at 20.2g/t gold, and Hamelin reckons it’s only scratching the surface!

Hamelin Gold (ASX:HMG) has delivered another ‘high-grade’ result at its Day Dawn Gold Project in Western Australia’s Paterson Province.

Managing Director Peter Bewick joins Danielle Doporto live from the field, standing right on the Aurora discovery as diamond drilling gets underway.

Key topics discussed:

  • ‘High-grade’ hits: Fresh reverse circulation (RC) drilling returns 11m @ 20.2 grams per tonne gold at the Altus Lode, including 2m @ 101.5g/t gold
  • Diamonds are drilling: A maiden diamond drilling program is underway to examine the Aurora and Altus lodes, collect structural information, and test extensions at depth
  • The bigger prize: Hamelin is targeting the potential for a much larger gold system below the shallow discoveries, with government co-funded deep diamond drilling planned for March 2027
  • What’s next: More RC assays expected in November, with diamond drilling results anticipated in January 2027

About the guest and company:
Peter Bewick is the managing director of Hamelin Gold, an Australian gold explorer with projects across WA’s Paterson, Tanami, and Yilgarn provinces. Day Dawn hosts the Aurora and Altus gold lodes near Greatland Resources’ (ASX:GGP) Telfer operation. Hamelin is testing whether the ‘high-grade’ mineralisation identified close to surface could extend into a larger gold system at depth.
