Genesis delivers thick, ‘high-grade’ hits at Laverton

Genesis Minerals (ASX:GMD) has reported multiple thick, ‘high-grade’ intersections across several deposits at its Laverton operations as part of a $40–$50 million FY26 exploration program.

The latest drilling results include 33.9m @ 2.00 grams per tonne gold at Beasley Creek, 34.0m @ 2.40g/t gold at Jupiter, and 8.0m @ 20.20g/t gold at Bruno Lewis — all within trucking distance of the existing 3-million-tonne-per-annum (Mtpa) Laverton processing plant.

Executive Chair Raleigh Finlayson says the drilling success demonstrates the opportunity to “generate strong returns from organic growth”.

“These latest results show we are extending the known mineralisation in multiple places and finding gold in several new areas,” Finlayson adds.

The drilling follows Genesis’ recent completion of the $639 million acquisition of Magnetic Resources, which added 2.2 million ounces of resources at the Lady Julie project within 20km of the Laverton mill.

At Beasley Creek, Genesis’ maiden drilling program has delivered results, including 30.5m @ 2.10g/t gold and 12.4m @ 3.00g/t gold. The deposit remains open along strike and at depth.

Mining rates at Jupiter have continued to ramp up, with a record 151,000 tonnes of ore achieved in May. Recent drilling has extended the shear zones to the northeast, with results including 40.3m @ 1.70g/t gold and 2.0m @ 25.70g/t gold.

Bruno Lewis offers shallow mining and low strip ratios with significant quantities of oxide ore expected to boost milling productivity.

Drilling has focused on converting resources in the central 500m by 1km area to a maximum depth of 150m, delivering results including 23m @ 4.40g/t gold, 10m @ 8.40g/t gold, and 67m @ 1.20g/t gold.

Mining at Bruno Lewis is targeted to commence in the September quarter 2026.

Genesis is conducting studies to expand the Laverton processing plant to 4.5–5Mtpa, with completion scheduled ahead of a strategy update in September 2026. Combined with the Leonora operations, the group’s total milling capacity could reach 8–9Mtpa.

The drilling results have prompted Genesis to increase its FY27 exploration budget to $80– $90 million.

Including the Magnetic acquisition, the company’s resources now stand at 21.3 million ounces with reserves of 5.4 million ounces.

Genesis Minerals is a Western Australian gold producer operating across the Laverton and Leonora districts, with an integrated milling and exploration model.
