In its quarterly report for the end of June 2024, Forrestania Resources (ASX:FRS) has flagged plans for potential drilling activities across its Bonnie Vale and Breakaway Dam projects in Western Australia.
At Bonnie Vale, which sits within the Eastern Goldfields Project, several small, regional soil sampling campaigns have been completed with a view to understand the potential gold mineralisation at the project.
Results from these samplings returned grades of up to 89.5 parts per billion gold, suggesting the potential for multiple drilling targets.
Forrestania plans to complete further geochemical work prior to potential regional exploration drilling.
At the Breakaway Dam Lithium and Copper Project, field work is continuing, with work to date having returned rock chips up to 26.7% copper.
Further field work is planned to confirm the volcanogenic massive sulphide potential of the targets. Assays are pending from the recent fieldwork.
Subject to results returned, a drilling program will be planned for the coming year.
At the Koolyanobbing Iron Project in Western Australia, drilling began subsequent to the end of the June quarter.
A reverse circulation drill rig was secured from Topdrill for a 1,000m to 1,200m program to begin, with the aim to test hematite targets uncovered at the project by Netley Minerals.
At the Forrestania and Southern Cross Project, field work has been continuing during the past quarter. Meanwhile, at the Hydra Lithium Project in Canada, Forrestania advised its joint venture partner ALX Resources (TSX-V:AL) it will not contribute further funding and would dilute its interest.
Forrestania Resources is a mineral explorer focused primarily on lithium, gold, and nickel in several regions across Western Australia.
As of 30 June 2024, the company had $459,000 in cash and cash equivalents at hand, according to its latest quarterly report.
