Fireweed Metals Macpass Project in Yukon, Canada

Fireweed finds massive sulphides at Tom East

Fireweed Metals (TSX-V:FWZ) will release further Tom South results after completing its 2026 Macpass drilling and deploying muon instrumentation at Tom East.

The company reports hole TS26-007, an infill hole on the margin of the 2024 inferred mineral resource at the Macpass Project in Yukon, Canada, intersected 17m true width @ 17.92% zinc equivalent (ZnEq).

The hole confirms the mineralised zone extends 50m down dip and 45m along strike from previous drilling.

The interval runs 18.95m from 191.44m downhole and grades 5.73% zinc (Zn), 10.87% lead (Pb), and 143.5 grams per tonne silver (Ag).

It includes 3.5m true width @ 38.5% ZnEq, grading 10.71% Zn, 25.27% Pb, and 313g/t Ag. Test work also recorded elevated levels of germanium and gallium.

The company drilled three holes at Tom East in support of a muon tomography survey with Ideon Technologies, which will run autonomously over winter to define a ‘high-grade’ panel in the north of the zone and guide future exploration.

The 2026 Macpass program totals 9,297m. A further 2,100m of geotechnical and hydrogeological drilling at Mactung supports the ongoing Feasibility Study.

The results are helping the company refine its structural model of the deposit.

CEO Ian Gibbs says the metal ratios point to a specific type of mineralisation akin to the ‘strongest areas’ of the wider system.

“Tom East is one of the highest-grade zones at the Tom deposit, notable for high ratios of silver and lead to zinc indicating ‘feeder style’ mineralisation similar to the best portions of Tom South,” Gibbs notes.

The company will publish remaining Tom South results as they arrive.

Fireweed Metals is a Canadian explorer advancing a portfolio of critical minerals assets, including the Gayna River Zinc-Gallium-Germanium Project, across northern Canada.
