ENRG Elements (ASX:EEL) says its next phase of work at the Tarouadji Project will include geological mapping and surface sampling to locate additional pegmatites, as well as enhance the recently uncovered anomalism.
To date, there is limited geological or geophysical information available at Tarouadji.
ENRG, which has a market capitalisation of $10.10 million, says other historical geochemical anomalies will also be investigated to develop a broader sense of what the Tarouadji Ring structure has to offer.
A rock chip sampling program was recently completed, which aimed to test historic geochemical data. Earlier findings were confirmed via this program and the remaining targets will be the focus of future programs.
The results identified multiple pegmatite veins and dykes, with the best sample results from TAR15 returning 1,079 parts per million (ppm) lithium, 1,295ppm rubidium, and 400ppm tin.
Managing Director Caroline Keats says the company is pleased to have confirmed historic data as well as improve its understanding of the earlier anomalies.
“This is particularly pleasing as Tarouadji is a true greenfield prospect having little work or data completed to date to assist our exploration efforts. So far, we have only looked at a very small part of the permit and we can now advance our work with greater confidence, knowing that the historic samples have been validated.”
A total of 30 samples were collected and all were dispatched to Intertek Genalysis Perth for assaying.
The Tarouadji Project sits 70km east of the company’s Agadez Uranium Project in the Agadez region of Niger and covers a 500km-square area.

As of 31 December 2023, the company had $1.341 million cash and cash equivalents at hand, according to its latest quarterly report.
